Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Personal Lines Agent to provide insurance, risk advice, and education concerning insurance coverage and planning. This role involves selling new insurance policies, servicing personal lines accounts, handling policy renewals, managing leads, and following up in a timely manner. The ability to travel to assigned branches and other locations is required. The agent will proactively review Member financial information, make recommendations on insurance coverage needs, and provide individualized advice and counsel based on specific client needs. They will use independent judgment to offer professional advice and recommendations concerning insurance policies that best meet Members’ needs and financial circumstances. A fact-finding and profiling process will be used to ensure all needs and possible scenarios are considered in recommendations, and all necessary financial information will be identified and communicated to prospects and clients. The agent will demonstrate personal lines expertise, minimizing risk and maximizing sales and service requirements. They will educate and advise Members on the advantages and disadvantages of various insurance products, philosophies, and risk management strategies, while providing exceptional customer service. Ongoing training and education will be provided to internal partners regarding insurance products, philosophies, and sales processes. The agent will analyze situations and recommend workable solutions, perform ongoing management of personal lines books of business, policy reviews, renewals, risk management, and client consultation. Familiarity with ratings and influencing factors for providing quotes is essential. The agent will negotiate and obtain the best price and overall protection for clients. Additionally, the agent will cross-sell the book of business, identify opportunities to refer back to the Credit Union, and handle policy maintenance procedures in a timely manner. All new business, renewal business, and leads will be processed in accordance with RCUSG standards. Claims will be reported to the appropriate carrier with follow-up and intervention as necessary. Daily, weekly, and monthly lead and sales tracking reports will be completed, and assistance will be provided to RCU Insurance Services team members in achieving sales and service goals.
