About The Position

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for making changes to customer accounts within carrier guidelines. This role involves remarketing current personal lines business when necessary, rounding out current accounts with additional products to help retain the book of business, and soliciting, referring, and evaluating new insurance clients. The Account Manager will obtain and process information/documentation from carriers and service existing accounts, including but not limited to payments, changes, claims, and requotes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of previous personal lines insurance servicing & quoting experience highly preferred.
  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance License in required lines (or ability to obtain license within 90 days of obtaining role).
  • Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression.
  • Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills.
  • Able to communicate and negotiate effectively.
  • High degree of dependability.
  • Able to effectively problem solve.
  • Strong computer skills required such as Excel and Word.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality of customers personal information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Making changes to customer accounts within carrier guidelines.
  • Remarketing current personal lines business when necessary.
  • Rounding current accounts with additional products to help retain book of business.
  • Soliciting, referring, and evaluating new insurance clients.
  • Obtaining and processing information/documentation from carriers.
  • Servicing existing accounts including but not limited to payments, changes, claims, and requotes.
  • Renewal Reviews of all personal lines accounts based on agency procedures.
  • Evaluating customer inquiries to make an informed decision.
  • Following up with underwriter and customer through renewal process and with changes.
  • Logging all activities in agency management system.
  • Maintaining records, reports, and files as applicable.
  • Answering customer inquiries regarding coverage, changes, claims, etc.
  • Rounding current customers accounts when servicing the client.
  • Remarketing Personal customers when requested by customer.
  • Handling overflow of new business when needed.
  • Assisting Producer(s) when needed.
  • Maintaining required disclosure postings and licensing (continuing education, etc.).
  • Attending all required meetings/trainings.
  • Answering telephones as needed.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned by management.
