About The Position

As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.

Requirements

  • Experience in personal lines insurance, client service, account management, insurance agency support, or a related field
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to review policies, documentation, and client information for accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, carriers, producers, account managers, and agency leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an independent insurance agency or brokerage
  • Experience supporting personal lines insurance clients
  • Experience with Applied Epic or other agency management systems
  • Knowledge of personal insurance products, coverage options, underwriting requirements, and carrier processes
  • Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, API, AINS, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and timely service to personal lines clients regarding coverage, billing, claims, renewals, and policy changes
  • Review client insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions based on individual circumstances
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, and renewals accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare applications, proposals, binders, and other insurance documentation for new and renewal business
  • Obtain and compare quotes from insurance carriers, including coverage options and pricing for clients
  • Communicate with carriers regarding underwriting requirements, inspections, documentation requests, and policy servicing
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the agency management system
  • Assist clients with claims reporting, claims follow-up, and communication with carriers as needed
