About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Houston, TX! The Personal Lines Account Executive is to work closely with the producer to write new business and retain existing clients. Examine and review prospective and current clients’ insurance programs for deficiencies and develop coverage recommendations for consideration. Develop and oversee service timeline as appropriate for each client including regular client visits to build and solidify excellent relationships. Quarter Back day-to-day account service and marketing for retention and service standards.

Requirements

  • Hold the appropriate Property & Casualty license required.
  • Valid driver’s license required with occasional travel required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum ten years' experience.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client service and relationship building skills.
  • Superior presentation, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Has the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written or verbal.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management disciplines with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously regardless of complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, delivering a proactive, high-touch and concierge-level service experience
  • Act as a trusted risk advisor, evaluating clients’ evolving lifestyles, assets, and exposures to develop tailored personal insurance strategies
  • Lead annual and ongoing coverage reviews, providing consultative guidance and strategic recommendations to ensure comprehensive and appropriate protection
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships within the personal lines marketplace, leveraging partnerships to deliver best-in-class coverage solutions and service
  • Coordinate a white-glove service model, ensuring seamless execution of policy changes, renewals, and client requests with a high degree of accuracy and responsiveness
  • Partner with producers and internal teams to support client retention and portfolio growth, including identifying cross-sell and coverage enhancement opportunities
  • Oversee the resolution of complex coverage questions and service issues, ensuring timely and client-centric outcomes
  • Stay informed on industry trends, carrier appetite, and emerging risks impacting affluent clients, translating insights into actionable client advice
