About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Associate to join our Private Client Group in Toronto. Supporting a portfolio of high-net-worth personal lines insurance clients, this role requires exceptional organizational and client service skills, a strong understanding of personal property and casualty insurance, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and systems proficiency, looking to deepen their experience in a prestigious and dynamic segment of personal insurance.

Requirements

  • Valid RIBO license Required
  • 1–2 years of experience in personal lines insurance.
  • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance, preferably within high-net-worth personal lines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel including pivot tables, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar broker management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client-centric approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in market negotiations or underwriting liaison is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized digital and physical files in accordance with HUB compliance and file retention standards.
  • Enter and update client and policy data in the broker management system (Applied EPIC or similar).
  • Prepare files for archival or audit as needed.
  • Support the issuance and processing of submissions, binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Ensure timely management of account abeyances, expiry dates, and renewal documentation.
  • Conduct policy reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with carriers and underwriters for quotes and policy terms.
  • Accurately calculate provincial taxes and prepare premium finance quotes.
  • Conduct detailed policy proofing and fact-checking.
  • Manage account receivables and track invoicing.
  • Oversee abeyances, expiry dates, and ensure timely issuance of submissions, binders, summaries, and policies.
  • Handle third-party requests for policy information and certificates.
  • Run reports and support operational tasks such as expiration tracking and producer reporting.
  • Conduct internet-based research related to client needs, market changes, or risk trends.
