About The Position

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its growing team of plaintiff’s attorneys and support staff in its New York City office. The Pre-Litigation Attorney will handle motor vehicle liability / automobile accident cases from intake through settlement, representing plaintiffs in New York. Our firm offers a generous and competitive compensation package, including a base salary, non-recoverable draw, standard commission/bonus structure, and a full benefits package.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
Strong client service, communication, and organizational skills
Leadership ability and self-starter mindset
Excellent writing and advocacy skills

Nice To Haves

1+ years of personal injury / motor vehicle accident experience preferred

Responsibilities

Handle cases from intake through settlement, including case strategy, documentation, and compliance
Complete Flip-to-Lit and TD approvals when appropriate, manage release approvals, and guide clients through the case lifecycle
Draft and prepare pre-litigation documents such as demands and settlement packages
Manage demand package creation and negotiate settlements with carriers
Supervise 6–10 Case Managers, ensure KPI compliance, and maintain quality control standards
Conduct recorded statements, prepare clients for Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and prepare clients for and attend 50-h hearings
Primarily personal injury cases, especially motor vehicle accidents
