About The Position

Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm is growing and looking for a dedicated, organized Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This role provides an opportunity to support attorneys, keep litigation matters moving, and make a meaningful difference for clients. Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and case responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent legal writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, compassionate, and empathetic approach when working with clients navigating difficult or stressful situations.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of casework while maintaining accuracy, quality, and responsiveness in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Senior Case Manager, preferably in a personal injury law firm.
  • Personal injury litigation experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with legal case management software, such as Filevine, Clio, or MyCase, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of personal injury cases from intake through litigation, settlement, or trial preparation.
  • Maintain case calendars and monitor statutory, discovery, court, and litigation deadlines.
  • Draft and format pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other case-related documents.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit organization, witness coordination, and courtroom logistics as needed.
  • Conduct basic research and organize medical records, billing, insurance information, deposition transcripts, and other case materials.
  • Prepare clients and case materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation events.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters throughout the litigation process.
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, client appointments, and other meetings while maintaining organized case files.
  • Assist attorneys and the legal team with general case and office support as needed.
