About The Position

To provide a variety of administrative support functions in support of the daily operations of the Personal Finance Management Branch. Evaluate and research inquiries from internal/external sources and/or members; respond to, resolve or arrange for resolution. May serve as contact coordinator by handling phone calls, advising members to complete online forms, and/or schedule financial counseling appointments, or refer member to appropriate staff member.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data files, folders, spreadsheets, and related documentation
  • Monitor, sort, and distribute correspondence, E-mail, incoming mail, faxes, E-messages, and internal oral communication
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and/or processing issues, including documentation and time-sensitive issues
  • Monitor, track, and update action items in databases
  • Complete data entry in automated systems
  • Gather and prepare data for various reports and projects
  • Review counseling notes, modification requests and data; take appropriate action
  • Respond to and process proposals from outside debt management agencies
  • Act as liaison for outside debt management agencies
  • Operate and maintain standard office equipment
  • Maintain inventory, order and stock office materials and supplies
  • Serve as mentor/trainer, and provide guidance and assistance to team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
