About The Position
We are hiring Personal Care/Medication Technicians for our client in McCandless, PA. The Certified Med Tech/Caregiver role includes providing hands-on care while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. The certified Med Techs must understand the medication administration cycle, including administration and documentation of medication, observation, reporting of changes, and storage of medication.
Requirements
- Certified Med Tech/Caregiver
- Understanding of the medication administration cycle, including administration and documentation of medication, observation, reporting of changes, and storage of medication.
Responsibilities
- Reviews care plan for each resident
- Document forms as medications are given
- Assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication observation record
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication
- Restock medication cart after medication passes
- Maintains and cleans the Medication Room
- Provide companionship with the residents
- Assist with mobility issues, helping residents get in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc.
- Help with personal hygiene (i.e. brushing teeth, toileting, bathing)
- Assist with all daily activities, based on the resident’s limitations and needs
