The CorsoCare Personal Care Director is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of administrative, clinical, and resident care services within a senior living community environment. This role actively supports our culture, its pillars, and 1440. The Director directly manages all Wellness Staff to provide compassionate and competent care for residents, implements and coordinates all services for admitted residents, and performs evaluations and ongoing assessments of residents quarterly. They use resident evaluations to set measurable goals and outcomes that meet physical, mental, and psychosocial needs, making necessary changes to the service plan. The position involves overall responsibility for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Personal Care Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws. The Director provides assistance to staff regarding criteria standards, evaluates Occurrence Reports/Care Associate logs to determine if assessments are needed, and reports to the State of Indiana if applicable. They build resident and family relationships by assisting them in identifying, planning, and obtaining needed assistance. The role includes completing appropriate paperwork, recommending operational improvements, utilizing budget parameters for inventory, planning monthly staff meetings and trainings, and acting as a resident advocate with third-party care providers. Additionally, the Director develops Care Associate assignments, updates task sheets, develops and evaluates training for staff, interviews and hires staff within budget, and ensures knowledge of all emergency policies. They order supplies, lead monthly Wellness Chats, conduct quarterly check-ins with the Wellness team, facilitate bi-weekly blood pressure clinics, attend daily stand-up meetings, participate in monthly Resident Forums, follow up on falls, perform safety assessments, connect with families of residents on LOA, and manage Service Agreements to ensure resident care packages match ADL needs. Supporting on the floor as needed is also part of the role.
