About The Position

Home & Health Care Management is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) who enjoys improving the quality of care for clients. This role involves providing one-on-one care in clients' homes, making the work meaningful. The ideal candidate is an honest self-starter who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience
CPR Certified
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
Valid California Driver’s License
Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
Own vehicle and proof of current auto insurance
Willingness to travel

Professional behavior when on duty
Experience in working with elderly and or disabled persons
Previous experience in home health care is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Prepare meals and measure and record food intake.
Perform household cleaning services to keep the client's living area clean.
Assist in transferring and transporting the client to appointments or errands.
Assist clients with walking.
Assist with a home exercise program.
Report clients' condition and any changes to their supervisor.
Assist client with medication reminders.
Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
