About The Position

Home & Health Care Management is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) who enjoys improving the quality of care for clients. This role involves providing one-on-one care in clients' homes, making the work meaningful. The ideal candidate is an honest self-starter who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience
  • CPR Certified
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
  • Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
  • Own vehicle and proof of current auto insurance
  • Willingness to travel

  • Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional behavior when on duty
  • Experience in working with elderly and or disabled persons
  • Previous experience in home health care is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Prepare meals and measure and record food intake.
  • Perform household cleaning services to keep the client's living area clean.
  • Assist in transferring and transporting the client to appointments or errands.
  • Assist clients with walking.
  • Assist with a home exercise program.
  • Report clients' condition and any changes to their supervisor.
  • Assist client with medication reminders.
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
