The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) role is crucial to our business, focusing on building meaningful relationships with clients, bringing them joy, and being a highlight in their day. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by caring for seniors and adults with disabilities. The company provides necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and support for caring for this vulnerable population. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills, integrity, and a professional demeanor. Responsibilities include assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Additionally, PCAs may assist with specific medical tasks as taught by a nurse, including ostomy appliance changes, dressing reinforcement, assisting with assistive devices, range of motion exercises, simple urine tests, measuring diets, measuring intake/output, taking vital signs, and applying external catheters or splints.
