Personal Care Attendant
About The Position
WATERS EDGE LODGE IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A PART-TIME PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT (PCA) FOR THE AM SHIFT! The primary functions of a PCA are to help residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily living tasks. Respond to resident needs promptly while maintaining resident privacy and personal dignity. Monitor resident activity and functional status. Assist with apartment tidying to ensure safety and comfort. Waters Edge Lodge is nestled in the unique and peaceful setting on the lagoon of Harbor Bay. Our 101 apartments provide a warm and familiar atmosphere where residents can maintain an independent and active lifestyle. We offer an extensive list of programs and activities, creating a stimulating social atmosphere where friendships develop and thrive. We are a pet friendly community, residents may have animals in their private apartments.
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Basic computer skills (care programing is computer based)
- Ability to life 150 pounds
- Current COVID-19 vaccination
- Physical
- TB test
- Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice
