About The Position

The primary role of the personal care attendant or caregiver is to provide non-medical assistance with activities of daily living. These activities include, but are not limited to, assistance with mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, daily hygiene, toileting and incontinence, light housekeeping, laundry, companionship, cognitive assistance, running errands, and contributing to a positive living environment to enhance the members quality of life and overall independence. A PCA must adhere to the schedule and provide services in the member’s home as authorized in the member’s approved Individual Plan of Care (IPoC). The PCA must use an electronic visit verification system at the start and completion of every visit.

Requirements

  • Complete state mandated training upon hire and annually
  • Pass a National Criminal History Screening Background Check
  • Complete a two hour orientation prior to employment

  • Possession of a driver’s license and insurance (if the PCA will transport the member)
