About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and care to individuals in Hartland, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily living tasks and promoting their independence and well-being in a home care setting.
Requirements
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
- Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in personal care or home health aide role is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Help clients with mobility, including transfers and positioning
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor clients' condition
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Document care provided and report any changes in client status
