About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team at Hillcrest Grand Lodge in Papillion, NE. • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
• Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other available technology.
• Must follow established infection-control, safety, and resident-care procedures.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous senior living, assisted living, memory care, personal care, healthcare, or similar experience preferred but not required.
• Previous caregiving experience is helpful.
• Candidates who are compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living according to their individual plan of care.
• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and other personal-care needs.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and getting safely around the community.
• Help residents maintain as much independence as possible.
• Obtain and document vital signs and weights as scheduled or directed.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and communicate concerns promptly.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide one-on-one companionship and support.
• Assist with resident laundry and light housekeeping needs.
• Support residents during meals and dining activities.
• Help residents participate in activities and daily routines.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Respect each resident’s choices, privacy, dignity, and preferences.
• Communicate important information with nurses and other care team members.
• Jump in wherever needed to help the community run smoothly.
