About The Position

The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for performing personal care and homemaker services based on a nurse’s assessment of the client’s needs. This position is also responsible for providing respite and private duty care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of in-home care experience, either in private duty or in a facility
• Proficiency in assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan
• Ability to take and record vital signs with accuracy
• Competence in responding appropriately in emergency situations
• Capability to promptly report any unusual occurrences or incidents
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare team members
• Compassionate and patient demeanor suitable for providing personal care and support
• Ability to follow directions and work independently within the scope of the care plan

Nice To Haves

• 60-hour training or state-tested nursing license

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan.
