About The Position

Merakey is seeking a full-time Personal Care Assistant to join their Adult Behavioral Health program in Harrisburg, PA. This role involves providing for the safety and welfare of consumers in a personal care home setting, supporting their mental and physical well-being. The Personal Care Assistant will carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active and valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
• Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
• Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.
