About The Position
Discovery Therapy is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Early Intervention team in Philadelphia County. This role involves providing one-on-one support to children with developmental and/or learning disabilities in preschools, daycares, or home environments. The children typically receive support for 3-7 hours each day. Discovery Therapy emphasizes care for its family of therapists.
Requirements
- High School Diploma REQUIRED
- CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self care needs in the 3-5 age group
Responsibilities
- One-on-One (1:1) support for children
- Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitations, or a neurological diagnosis
- Implementing instructional strategies
