The company aims to add value to the lives of its clients and their loved ones by providing personal care in their residences. Gail's Homecare is seeking a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join their growing home health care team. In this role, the PCA will work with clients in their homes, assisting with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks according to their requirements and limitations, providing compassionate care, and documenting client progress to ensure overall wellbeing.

Requirements

• CPR/BLS certification
• First Aid certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting
• Mastery of the English language, written & verbal
• Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills
• Attendance of eight (8) hours of personal care-oriented services per year
• Participation in professional meetings when directed
• Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
• Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Prompt and reliable
• Warm and caring personality
• Commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect
• Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines
• Driver's License/State-issued ID
• PCA Certification

• Existing fingerprinting background check

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years of professional experience in a healthcare setting
• Significant experience working in a home health care environment
• Experience in domestic work or housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Work with clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations
• Provide compassionate care and assistance
• Document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing
• Conduct domestic and personal tasks requested by the client
