About The Position

Merakey is seeking a PRN (as needed) Personal Care Assistant to join their Adult Behavioral Health program in Harrisburg, PA. This role provides for the safety and welfare of residents in an 8-bed Personal Care Home (PCH) setting, supporting their mental health and physical well-being. The Personal Care Assistant will carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Active and valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
• Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
• Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.
