About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality care and support to our clients in Westland, MI. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities while promoting their independence and overall well-being.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations
- Being able to work independently.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Basic knowledge of safety and infection control practices
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
