About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide to join our assisted living team at Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Bellevue, NE. Requirements

Active Nebraska 40-hour Medication Aide certification required.
Basic Life Support CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.
Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, and movement as needed.
Must be flexible, calm, and professional in stressful situations.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Must be able to utilize technology and resources efficiently and effectively.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing personal care in assisted living, memory support, senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide medications to residents by following the five rights of medication administration and accurately document medication support.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and use of adaptive devices such as hearing aids, glasses, and dentures.
Take vital signs as ordered and promptly report out-of-range findings to the Nurse Manager or Director of Health Services.
Monitor and report changes in resident condition, needs, or concerns to nursing and incoming or outgoing shifts.
Assist residents with meals and dining, including guiding residents to and from meals and ensuring residents are accounted for.
Support health-maintenance activities under the direction and oversight of a licensed healthcare professional.
Understand and follow procedures for emergency medical services and resident emergency needs.
Assist with laundry of residents’ personal clothing and linens.
Complete resident documentation in the electronic medical record as required.
Assist with scheduled resident activities and help create meaningful engagement opportunities.
Complete general assigned cleaning, including making beds, organizing resident spaces, removing trash, and maintaining a clean environment.
Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, guests, and team members.
