Personal Care Aide (PCA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide personal care services in patients' homes in Tonopah, NV. This role is a 1099 contract opportunity where care is provided at the patient's residence. The company has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy since 2012, focusing on personalized, in-home care. They are a fast-growing provider serving patients across multiple states. The ideal candidate is a compassionate individual who puts patients first and thrives in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification
- Current First Aid certification
- TB test & physical examination
- Ability to monitor vital signs.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
- Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of caregiving experience
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
- Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care.
- Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support.
- Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care.
- Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
