About The Position
Essex House Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide to join their dedicated team. They provide top-quality assisted living services in a supportive, home-like environment. This is a full-time position with shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Virginia ID
- Valid Social Security card
- 2 professional references
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or personal care preferred
- A kind heart, patience, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.)
- Provide medication reminders and monitor overall well-being
- Support mobility and transfer needs
- Engage residents in activities and social interactions
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
