About The Position

Webster at Rye, a non-profit facility located in Rye, NH, is offering a full-time PCA-to-LNA Paid Training Program. This program allows compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to advance their healthcare careers by becoming Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) while earning a paycheck. The program includes paid tuition for an approved LNA course, paid training hours, and a guaranteed LNA position upon successful completion. Trainees will assist residents with daily living activities, provide comfort and companionship, learn clinical skills under supervision, and maintain a safe environment. Upon certification as an LNA, individuals will deliver direct resident care, assist with mobility, hygiene, meals, and vital signs, collaborate with nurses, and play an essential role in improving residents’ daily lives.

Requirements

  • Current PCA or caregiving experience preferred (but not required)
  • Interest in becoming an LNA
  • Ability to attend full‑time training schedule
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for caring for others
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Attained the legal age of employment in the state
  • Able to stand, walk, lift up to 50lbs with repetition.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities
  • Provide comfort, companionship, and supportive care
  • Learn clinical skills under supervision
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Deliver direct resident care
  • Assist with mobility, hygiene, meals, and vital signs
  • Collaborate with nurses and care teams
  • Play an essential role in improving residents’ daily lives
  • Perform resident related tasks under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
  • Assist residents with basic grooming needs.
  • Serve meals, cue those residents who require it and assist residents in the dining room.
  • Assist LNA's to provide fluids and nourishments to the residents.
  • Maintain a safe, attractive and comfortable environment for the residents, with special consideration to bedmaking and closet cleaning.
  • Answer resident calls for assistance promptly and refer their needs to an LNA or Nurse.
  • Report to the Nurse immediately if the resident complains, has a change in condition, or whenever other special needs arise.
  • Provide special services for the resident not needing professional skills.
  • Carry out housekeeping functions on the unit that are not specifically assigned to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Maintain helpful interpersonal relationships.
  • Transport residents as required.
  • Assume all other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
  • Assume responsibility for self-safety and safety of immediate work environment.
  • Responsible for attendance at annual in-service program with regards to body mechanics, right to know and fire and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as requested and strong ability to work in a team atmosphere.
