About The Position

BAYADA is seeking compassionate individuals to join their Assistive Care Division as a Personal Care Aide (PCA) on the Big Island in Hilo, Kurtistown, Pahoa, and Honomu. • Previous home health care or patient care experience is preferred, but not required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home, following a written plan of care by a registered nurse.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Perform household support tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Assist with range of motion exercises.
• Assist with ambulation, including transfers and the use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Provide medication reminders.
