About The Position

Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to helping clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. We provide compassionate, in-home personal care and support services throughout Long Island, NY. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential daily assistance and companionship.

Requirements

Current NYS Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification
Recent experience working for a licensed home care agency as a PCA within the past 2 years
Verifiable NYS PCA certification and employment history on the Home Care Registry via the Health Commerce System
Ability to frequently lift and/or transfer clients averaging approximately 150 lbs, with or without assistance
English proficiency for effective client communication
Authorized to work in the United States
At least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation

Bilingual proficiency in any additional language

Responsibilities

Providing one-on-one support with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene assistance
Offering companionship and emotional support to clients
Running errands and assisting with transportation as needed
Ensuring client safety and comfort in the home environment
Reporting changes in client condition to supervisors and maintaining accurate documentation
