About The Position
Seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health/Personal Care Aide to provide high-quality care for a client in a home setting. The ideal dependable candidate will assist the client with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others is mandatory.
- Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy.
- Background check required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal aide, or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- CPR certification is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and vacuuming the client’s bedroom.
- Prepare clients for doctor appointments and other close-to-home outings.
- Prepare simple meals according to the client’s dietary needs.
- Monitor the client’s basic health, including checking pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Assist client with prescribed exercises and medication administration.
- Help with changing bandages, dressing wounds, offering massages, and caring for skin.
- Maintain accurate care records and document any changes in the client’s health or behavior.
- Ensure medications are taken as prescribed by a Nurse or Physician.
- Build rapport with clients by establishing personal connections, showing empathy, and providing emotional support.
- Respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns as they arise.
