About The Position

A&C Private Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Aides (PCAs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes. This role focuses on supporting individuals with dementia and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), aiming to enrich their lives through personalized and compassionate care. We believe caregiving is a calling and are looking for individuals passionate about making a difference in a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to starting
• Up-to-date TB test or willingness to acquire one before beginning work
• Flexible schedule availability
• Ability to manage and organize clients' routines effectively
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation and running errands

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Prior experience in home care

Responsibilities

• Providing immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, company, and comfort.
• Reporting changes in the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients to relevant parties.
• Providing support with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
• Engaging clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, or having conversations.
• Performing basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals.
• Assisting clients with household finances, bills, and payments, as well as running errands.
• Accompanying clients on outings and arranging transportation to medical appointments.
• Providing mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
• Ensuring safe transfers with proper technique to avoid injury.
• Respecting client dignity during personal care activities.
• Maintaining open communication with the client regarding comfort and needs.
