The Personal Banking Associate delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their needs and providing advice on financial solutions. This role involves collaborating with BMO partners within the branch and through various channels to enhance the customer experience and achieve business objectives, including identifying referral opportunities. Key responsibilities include welcoming and guiding customers in the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self-serve options, and conducting conversations about banking services, personal banking, and investment advice. The associate will meet customer transaction needs, review profiles for opportunities in everyday banking and credit cards, and contribute to branch business results. Operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow-ups, filing, and opening/closing procedures are also part of the role. The associate is a key member of a collaborative team, proactively understanding customer needs, integrating marketing promotions, and organizing information for accuracy. They are expected to take initiative to personalize customer experiences and contribute to continuous improvement. The role may involve working at multiple branches or through various channels with a flexible schedule. Compliance with risk and regulatory policies, safeguarding customer assets and privacy, maintaining current knowledge of financial services, and reporting suspicious activities are critical. The associate must protect the Bank's assets, complete complex tasks within limits, analyze issues, and apply the Risk Management Framework in decision-making.
