About The Position

A Personal Banker is responsible for delivering a premier client experience that is second to none by helping out our clients with just about all of their consumer/retail banking needs! The Personal Banker will provide new and existing clients with resources and solutions to serve all their financial needs and will work to grow relationships that are mutually beneficial for the client and bank. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop and nurture client relationships.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related field and/or 2 years equivalent work experience in a client services/sales environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients.
  • Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule with flexibility between 7:15 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Availability to work Saturday rotations between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to make good decisions.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
  • Proven sales ability.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve full banking relationships with clients by being familiar with all Lake Ridge Bank offerings, including expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services.
  • Resolve client needs, problems, and issues while providing high-quality personalized service.
  • Actively sell deposit and consumer loan products and services using effective sales skills such as listening, persuasion, and building confidence and trust.
  • Open deposit accounts (checking, savings, CDs) and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Process transactions including cashing checks, account withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments, while balancing and maintaining a cash drawer.
  • Follow through with onboarding new clients and new accounts.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with internal and external contacts, clients, and potential clients.
  • Meet established benchmarks for individual, office, and department performance.
  • Actively participate in sales, office, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
  • Participate in community involvement and bank activities.
  • Complete all annual bank security and compliance training.
  • Adhere to Bank Security guidelines.
  • Stay current on all compliance regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
