Position Summary The Personal Banker’s primary function and responsibility is to provide personalized banking service for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 2 years of banking experience with direct contact with clients required.
  • Essential skills include strong communications skills and ability to relate to clients, active listening, patience, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests and tasks, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Mandarin language skills strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing core banking systems preferred.
  • Notary License preferred or willingness to obtain a notary license.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawal, account transfers, wires and loan payments.
  • Ensure safe handling of cash, prevent discrepancies and avoid fraud and loss in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of all bank depository products and services.
  • Open and close depository accounts for consumer and business clients
  • Assist clients with account maintenance and updates
  • Provide accurate and efficient services to maintain existing clients and contribute to branch sales goals through cross-selling and referrals.
  • Review reports and anticipate client needs
  • Introduce and educate clients about bank self-service and digital banking tools
  • Encourage clients to adopt digital banking to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify needs and opportunities of existing and new clients to suggest appropriate banking products or refer to related departments
  • Build and deepen customer relationships by engaging with clients, understanding their account usage and financial goals, and following up regularly.
  • Ensure all transactions and customer interactions strictly adhere to bank policies and procedures, federal and local regulations.
  • Complete bank ongoing training and professional development courses to update knowledge on bank policies and regulations continually.
  • Coordinate with BSA Department for internal inquiries and reviews.
  • Contribute to the branch housekeeping tasks.
  • Support other branches when needed.
  • Perform duties as assigned by management.
  • Comply with and adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
