About The Position

F & M Bank’s Personal Bankers are responsible for building relationships and providing expert financial advice and great service. They need to demonstrate motivation to offer the right financial solutions to help customers with large expenses, such as saving for college, buying a home, and planning for retirement. By opening new accounts and originating new consumer loan applications, Personal Bankers are key in the growth and acquisition of new business and growing profitable customer relationships. Personal Bankers represent the Bank within the community by joining organizations; they establish contacts with local organizations and businesses, and pursue additional Bank business through referrals and networking. Personal Bankers own the customer relationship and build solid connections with the customers. They thoroughly profile every new and existing customer to identify opportunities for providing customer-focused product knowledge and support.

Requirements

  • Experience in opening complex accounts such as trusts, loan products, and retirement accounts
  • Excellent communication skills, customer-focused, and demonstrates tact and professionalism
  • Self-starter who develops new business and works to increase sales and customer retention
  • Demonstrated knowledge of banking institution concepts, consumer lending, endorsements, transaction processing, and federal/state regulations
  • Devotion to operational excellence, adhering to high ethical standards and maintaining focus to deliver results
  • Successful completion of a credit history check
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; A.A. degree or equivalent combined work experience accepted
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the financial services industry, which includes experience with opening new accounts (personal and business) and accepting consumer loan applications
  • A reliable form of transportation to get to and from work and training each day
