About The Position

Provides clients with friendly service and meets financial needs by completing transactions and uncovering other opportunities to promote additional services. This role involves processing banking center transactions, safety deposit, cash machine and vault balancing activities, following bank policies and procedures. The Personal Banker greets clients, identifies their needs, promotes bank products and services, and refers clients to the appropriate business colleague if needed. They also open personal accounts, CDs, and cross-sell bank services. Additionally, they answer client inquiries, resolve less complex issues, build client loyalty by establishing relationships and addressing each client by name, and consistently deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires adherence to established bank policies, procedures, and guidelines, and participation in retail sales programs to help meet personal and banking center goals. Team collaboration is expected through active participation in team meetings and community projects. The Personal Banker may also provide transaction overrides and assistance to less experienced CSRs, and assist the Manager with audits, reporting, and scheduling as requested. Regular and predictable attendance, completion of all training, and understanding and compliance with applicable laws and regulations are essential.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) or more years of retail banking experience preferred.
  • One (1) - three (3) years college preferred.
  • Ability to travel to all locations as needed for meetings, projects, training, seminars, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the completion of all training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
  • Demonstrates appropriate levels of interpersonal skills for clients and staff members.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
