This position is a mid-level branch position focused on managing member relationships. This includes account opening, maintenance, and support, maximizing the digital experience, facilitating partner referrals, and problem resolution, while providing exceptional member service in the lobby, in the drive-thru, or by telephone. This position also assists with teller transactions, as well as some branch operations. Promoting credit union products and services and identify cross-selling opportunities. Meeting or exceeding sales goals. As a Member Relationship Consultant I, you will: Demonstrate a highly motivated, positive, outgoing, influential personality with a strong emphasis on sales and results orientation to ensure the credit union maximizes lending and sales opportunities with members. Drive the growth the profitability of the member base through prospecting and acquiring new memberships, as well as retaining and deepening existing relationships. Be a trusted consultant for members by actively cross-selling credit union products and services, making recommendations and, if appropriate, referrals to partners including consumer lending, and financial advisors. Serve as a consumer account opening expert; provide guidance on the account set up and access, as well as education and guidance. Act as the primary point of contact and maintain regular communication with members in your Book of Business, to proactively build the relationship, provide follow-up service and look for additional sales and service opportunities. Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of member services including digital banking, Zelle and other payment services, credit cards, and loans. Manage all sales, referrals, and service needs through the proper channels, leveraging resources to track and document service efforts. Actively engage with all product and service sales initiatives. Process wires and provide Notary service, as needed. Complete account maintenance including adding and removing joint owners and beneficiaries, Fraud Account Transfers, card orders, address changes, automatic transfers etc. Perform basic history and maintenance research. Provide basic information regarding Special Account types and Business Accounts and answer general questions, identify needs and refer to the appropriate team member for account opening and maintenance. Process cash and non-cash transactions such as payments, transfers, withdrawals, incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests. Assist with vault counting, balancing, and the ordering of cash. Perform overrides for other team members, within your transacting authority. Work with other team members towards the attainment branch/department/organizational goals, in addition to their personal/professional goals. Keep all credit union member and employee related business in strictest confidence. Maintain a thorough understanding of Credit Union Policies and performs duties in compliance with all laws and regulations which apply to position. Execute all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP).
