About The Position

The Personal Banker role focuses on delivering an exceptional experience to customers and prospects by meeting the financial needs of the community. This position supports clients both in-person and virtually, acting as an active member of the branch office sales/service team. The role involves supporting day-to-day branch operational activities and financial services of the Bank.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training in customer service, polite and effective communication practices, and relationship building needed.
  • Ability to communicate across various channels (face-to-face, email, video conference, text/chat, social media).
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of branch transactional tasks and operations.
  • Conversant in bank’s products and services.
  • Proficient in use of various types of technology and software.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a related position normally required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or General Banking Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional experience to customers and prospects with a focus on meeting the financial needs of all areas of our community.
  • Support clients in-person or virtually.
  • Work as an active member of the branch office sales/service team.
  • Provide support related to the day-to-day branch operational activities and financial services of the Bank.
  • Process various customer transactions (checks, deposits, withdrawals, payments, money orders, cashier’s checks, cash advances, etc.) efficiently, accurately, and compliantly.
  • Balance cash drawer, night deposits, and balance and service the ATM.
  • Serve as back-up with vault-related and ancillary operational duties.
  • Protect customer and Bank assets at all times by adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Keep up-to-date on banking regulation changes to ensure compliance.
  • Understand the Bank’s products and services, including its technology.
  • Provide exemplary customer service, fielding questions concerning deposit account and loan activity, fees, etc.
  • Use available resources to research more complicated matters with assistance, ensuring client concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Promptly and effectively refer clients and prospects to the appropriate partner to meet their needs for deposits, loans, cash management, merchant, or wealth management services.
