The Personal Banker is responsible for interacting with customers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner to identify their needs. This role provides and helps develop the products needed for the customer or cross-sells to the appropriate areas of the Bank to identify solutions for those needs. The Personal Banker opens and closes all types of deposit accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposits, and IRA's. They interview consumer loan applicants for credit and obtain financial information and appropriate information to make loan decisions, and are responsible for processing and maintaining branch consumer loan files. This role is also responsible for IRA distributions, sales, and reporting. The Personal Banker establishes a call program and coordinates events and campaigns to generate business and provide excellent relational communication with current customers. They mentor retail staff, process debit card requests, and assist customers as needed. Additionally, they connect customers to Online Banking and other Retail Technological Products, assist with related banking issues, and initiate wire transfers. The Personal Banker participates in branch events by working the event and engaging with customers. In secondary responsibilities, this role attends to the reception area in the absence of an attendant, supports the teller line by processing transactions as needed, and provides assistance if needed for accounts payable, loan maintenance, account monitoring, and other areas. They participate in Retail meetings and adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required training. Other duties as may be assigned.
