Requirements

  • Must have high school education and be able to master on-the-job training requirements.
  • A minimum of two years in retail banking experience is required.
  • Experience in customer sales, relationship management, and cross selling skills are desired.
  • Must be proactive, able to develop product and compliance knowledge, have problem solving skills, and work collaboratively.
  • The ability to perform detailed work with accuracy and cash handling skills are essential.
  • Must have the ability to articulate financial concepts to customers and answer questions they may have.
  • Ability to use computer for data entry, word processing, MSOffice, and may be assigned Excel spreadsheet work.
  • Knowledge and ability to learn the bank’s data processing system.
  • Use of personal computer, calculator, telephone, shredder, scanner/copier, and other general office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher in business or finance is preferred.
  • Banking certifications are ideal but not necessary.
  • High level knowledge of mortgage and lending products and services and wealth management services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Promote TrustBank, its Values and its Service Standards.
  • Ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Cross-sell products to customers to meet their needs.
  • Answer phone inquiries.
  • Represent TrustBank at community functions and in your network to generate new relationships.
  • Opening new accounts.
  • Issue and redeem certificates of deposit.
  • Assist customers in resolving account related problems.
  • Stay within compliance guidelines when opening and closing all accounts.
  • Establish proper identification of all new customers, obtain credit report to determine acceptance of account, and determine product suitability to meet customer’s needs.
  • Give out appropriate loan applications.
  • Order ATM/Debit cards and update information, activate, etc.
  • Process check orders/re-orders for customers
  • Remain flexible to scheduling needs during all Wheaton location business hours. (M-F 8:30 AM-5:30 PM)
  • Open and close bank when needed.
  • Process night drop deposits.
  • Run teller transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Balance drawer cash and vault cash.
  • Approve checks within limits.
  • Order and stock adequate supplies.
  • Maintain over and short reports and transaction reports.
  • Ship and order currency and coin from Fed.
  • Scan and balance transaction in the proof program.
  • Assist with monthly reports.
  • Attend bank meetings and educational seminars as required.
  • Provide support to Market President.
  • Support ancillary deposit operations across the bank at-large as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24-$29/per hour, along with the eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
