About The Position

The Personal Banker builds and maintains strong customer relationships. They provide exceptional service, process transactions, place customers in appropriate account, cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments as appropriate. The primary focus of this role is to be a leader in sales behind the teller line.

Requirements

Previous banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
Proven abilities in cross-selling Union Bank’s products, services and referrals.
Basic math and proficient computer skills.
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
Assist customers with all account requests.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all areas of both UBT and UNL ensuring that we are adequately servicing all UNL clients meeting all of their personal financial needs.
Lead by example, support and assist branch in achieving goals set by management on a consistent basis.
Review and maintain knowledge of products, fees and policies, and stay current on offerings for product suggestions.
Research and resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Proactively participate in ongoing trainings, coaching, and mandatory meetings to ensure continued growth.
Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions that apply to designated job responsibilities.
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role.
Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Assist and participate with Marketing as well as UNL branch with innovative and creative ideas to market on the UNL campus.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned as well as attend events that may be outside traditional banking hours, including: New Student Enrollment (NSE) on campus events as scheduled Annual events (outside bank hours): Big Red Welcome NSE Party at Union NSE Leader Dinner Additional events may be scheduled.
