About The Position

The Personal Banker builds and maintains strong customer relationships. They provide exceptional service, process transactions, place customers in appropriate account, cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments as appropriate. The primary focus of this role is to be a leader in sales behind the teller line.

Requirements

  • Previous banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
  • Proven abilities in cross-selling Union Bank’s products, services and referrals.
  • Basic math and proficient computer skills.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

  • Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
  • Assist customers with all account requests.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all areas of both UBT and UNL ensuring that we are adequately servicing all UNL clients meeting all of their personal financial needs.
  • Lead by example, support and assist branch in achieving goals set by management on a consistent basis.
  • Review and maintain knowledge of products, fees and policies, and stay current on offerings for product suggestions.
  • Research and resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Proactively participate in ongoing trainings, coaching, and mandatory meetings to ensure continued growth.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions that apply to designated job responsibilities.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role.
  • Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Assist and participate with Marketing as well as UNL branch with innovative and creative ideas to market on the UNL campus.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned as well as attend events that may be outside traditional banking hours, including: New Student Enrollment (NSE) on campus events as scheduled Annual events (outside bank hours): Big Red Welcome NSE Party at Union NSE Leader Dinner Additional events may be scheduled.
