About The Position

The Personal Banker is a full-time, permanent position located at our Twin Oaks Branch. As a Personal Banker, you will create and deliver a positive customer experience while conducting banking transactions. You must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and actively listen to clients' banking and financial needs to refer them to the appropriate bank product or representative. Additionally, you must adapt well to the changing workplace environment, handle customer service complaints, maintain the confidentiality of customer information, prioritize items of significance, and manage your assigned cash drawer responsibly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to process information and transactions with high levels of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to recognize and be sensitive to the different perspectives and priorities of different customers.
  • Shares, shows, and supports clients on a variety of technological digital and online tools and resources, allowing them to explore solutions to achieve their financial goals and well-being.
  • Demonstrate effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing, and preventing fraudulent situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of relevant work experience preferred
  • prior banking and sales experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a unique client banking experience aimed at improving client financial well-being and creating loyalty while increasing product sales.
  • Process a variety of client interactions, advise clients on alternatives available for their financial interactions, and identify banking opportunities during client interactions, referring as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities through meaningful conversations with clients and make appropriate referrals to branch staff or other partners.
  • Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with clients and position First Bank products to meet their needs.
  • Advise clients on options for managing financial transactions by leveraging technology, tools, and resources.
  • Apply banking product sales and procedural knowledge to address client requests.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, demonstrate sound judgment within established limits, and ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
