About The Position

The Personal Assistant supports one individual by providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), community involvement, and other activities as outlined in written plans of care. The role involves maintaining a safe, stimulating, stable, and comfortable environment. Staff are crucial in helping individuals learn, maintain, or improve skills needed for independent living, providing support based on their hopes, dreams, and preferences. The position emphasizes affording individuals privacy, treating them with dignity and respect, and ensuring access to coordinated services and supports tailored to their unique strengths, needs, and choices. Staff actively participate in all aspects of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of member services and supports. The role offers a flexible and fun daily atmosphere and includes paid training.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background test
Must be able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

Providing support to program participants with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
Providing support to program participants with community involvement
Providing support to program participants with other activities per the written plans of care
Maintaining a safe, stimulating, stable and comfortable setting
Helping an individual learn, keep or improve skills necessary to live in a home
Providing supports based on an individual's hopes, dreams, and preferences
Ensuring individuals are afforded privacy and are treated with dignity and respect
Ensuring individuals have access to coordinated services and supports determined by the individual's unique strengths, needs and choices
Actively participating in all aspects of planning, implementation monitoring and evaluation of member services and supports
