About The Position
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for FULL-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team-driven work environment. This role involves providing physical assistance with daily tasks, assisting with personal hygiene, and facilitating fun activities for clients. The position requires following medical orders, administering medications, assisting with ADL's, lifting and transferring, and adaptive transportation. Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping are also responsibilities. The role involves frequent interaction with family and requires providing choices to clients for their daily activities, entertainment, and community outings. Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED)
- Valid Driver's license
- Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
