About The Position

This position serves as an acting manager, requiring adherence to management procedures and policies. Violations may result in removal from the role. Key responsibilities include guest service, direction, sanitation, cost control, following management directives, and overseeing assignments for oneself and associates. The role involves running shifts, coaching and guiding associates, and completing specific tasks each shift. This includes pre-shift walk-throughs, delegating tasks, completing temperature charts, and taking appropriate action for any issues, documenting them in the manager's log. Associates assigned to deep-cleaning tasks must complete them, and break times for all staff, including cooks, must be managed. Labor must be monitored to stay at or below the set goal for the shift, with close attention to clock-in/out times and manager approval for overtime. Drawer and deposit accuracy and timeliness are critical, as is auditing all paperwork, including discounts and credit cards. Storage areas must be organized, and floors kept free of food and garbage. The front of house must remain clean and organized. Performance discussions with associates are prohibited; all such matters must be addressed with a manager. Severe issues require a written statement, logbook notation, and potential sending home of an associate if directed by a manager. The candidate must be ready to assume this responsibility.
