About The Position

The Person In Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing store operations in the absence of the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other designated store leadership. This position ensures exceptional customer service, operational execution, regulatory compliance, and associate support while maintaining a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment. Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for store operations during assigned shifts.
  • Serve as the primary management representative on duty.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to associates across all departments.
  • Support department leaders in achieving operational and service goals.
  • Address operational issues and make timely decisions to ensure business continuity.
  • Communicate store priorities and expectations to associates.
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Respond to and resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Promote a customer-first culture throughout the store.
  • Monitor service levels and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Support customer recovery efforts and maintain strong community relations.
  • Monitor store conditions to ensure cleanliness, safety, and merchandising standards are maintained.
  • Conduct store walks and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Verify department readiness, staffing coverage, and operational compliance.
  • Support execution of promotions, seasonal programs, and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure opening, closing, and shift transition procedures are completed accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
