About The Position
Green Ridge Solar is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Permitting Specialist to join our growing team. As a key point of for our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of solar projects through our permitting pipeline. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction permitting, preferably within the solar industry.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of construction permitting processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing software.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different AHJ requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with solar permitting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Setting up jobs within our operational pipeline.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Obtaining all necessary permits from AHJ & Utilities
- Securing net-metering agreements.
- Reserving available incentives for qualifying systems.
- Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of individual AHJ permitting requirements.
- Coordinating final inspections upon project completion.
- Distributing project closeout and approval notices to all relevant parties.
