About The Position

A Permits and Records Supervisor plans and coordinates the issuance of permits for various purposes. Work of this class involves supervising office support personnel. Incumbents receive general supervision from an administrative superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed at an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

Requirements

  • Education: Have an associate of arts degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Have four years of experience in office work, at least three of which must have been in processing permits.
  • Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Knowledge of office management practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of permit structures and requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Supervisory ability.
