About The Position

This role involves conducting mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on industrial assets. The Permit Writer will perform inspections, adjustments, and repairs to maintain the safe and reliable operation of machinery and systems. This position requires the use of technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues. Collaboration with site leadership and operations teams is essential for planning maintenance schedules and minimizing downtime. Accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation must be maintained. Requirements

  • Speak, write, read fluent English
  • Hear and have good vision
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
  • Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
  • Work may involve protected and monitored exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, or other environmental conditions typical of an industrial facility
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
  • Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
  • Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
  • Carry 20 pounds while walking
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
  • Perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Maintains accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
