About The Position

Mungo Homes has a new opening for a Permit Specialist in our Wilmington, NC market. This position is responsible for creating all new start packages as well as applying for and obtaining necessary permitting for construction purposes. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn KOVA software.
  • Valid state drivers license in good standing.
  • Minimum state required automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute start packages for all new homes/subdivisions to include: building permits, plat plans, plans marked w/applicable options, selected options detail sheet, cabinet & flooring sheets, flatwork/sod calculation sheet, and community standard features sheet.
  • Request surveyor maps as required.
  • Request permits for new starts; request and submit appropriate fees and pick up permits.
  • Track and respond to permitting issues as required.
  • Maintain house construction files.
  • Travel within the local area as required.
  • Request water and sewer certificates and service.
