About The Position

AJ Perri Heating & Cooling, providing HVAC services to New Jersey for over 50 years. We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to process all permits required for installation jobs. Will also serve as a backup install coordinator.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • 3-5 years of administrative assistant experience required.
  • Permit application and process experience highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills required, specifically MicroSoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Excellent follow up and time management skills required
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and organizational skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Some college desired

Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming job folders and file any/all necessary permits
  • Receive all incoming calls from external customers and other departments regarding the permit process
  • Provide information to Install Manager regarding proper information received for permit process
  • Nurture and maintain positive relationships with Township personnel
  • Prepare and process necessary payments for P.O.’s for permits
  • Work with office staff to expedite “emergency” situations
  • Provide Installation Manager with status to completion at the end of each business day
  • Enter all information into Successware to reflect status of permits
  • Work with other departments to ensure permit process is maintained (plumbing & service)
  • Work with Rebate Coordinator and Inspection/Job Costing positions to ensure flow of job folders
  • Direct customer calls to appropriate internal personnel as needed
  • Assist Rebate Coordinator and Installation Coordinators as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
